Employment Alert: Employer Documentation Required to Support New Paid Leaves, and Related Tax Credits, Detailed by DOL and IRS

On April 1, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) issued temporary regulations related to the new Families First Coronavirus Response Act. One notable feature of the regulations is that the DOL clarified the documentation an employer can request when an employee seeks to take leave under the emergency paid sick leave and expanded FMLA paid leave provisions.
