Chad Mahoney – President/CEO: Chad is now in the fourth decade of his broadcasting career, which began at his hometown radio station when he was 16 years old. He has held various positions, from on-air work to executive leadership roles, at radio and television stations in Missouri, Oklahoma and Illinois. And in 2023, Chad became the fourth full-time President and CEO of the Missouri Broadcasters Association.
While working as a broadcast journalist, Chad received multiple national and regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, regional Emmy® Awards, and hundreds of awards from broadcasters’ associations in multiple states. As the MBA President and CEO, Chad researches and plans training programs and offers legal/regulatory resources for the association’s member stations. He works to ensure that the best interests of Missouri’s broadcasters are represented before regulatory agencies and state and federal government.


Rachael Heffner, CH – Digital Communications Specialist and Graphic Designer: Rachael joined the MBA in July of 2020, and she has nearly a decade of experience in the broadcast industry. She previously served as the graphic designer for the Missouri Press Association before making the move into the broadcast world, working as the local sales assistant for The Networks of Mid-Missouri in Columbia, and eventually becoming a newscast producer. Rachael then moved to Las Vegas, where she worked as a producer for FOX5 and a writer for The Las Vegas Food & Beverage Professional magazine. In 2014, Rachael became a Certified Hypnotist with The National Guild of Hypnotists, and she now focuses mainly on past life regression hypnosis sessions. Rachael is also a broadcaster herself, streaming free hypnosis sessions, along with art, cooking and craft beer tasting on her Twitch channel. In addition, she is writing a book of hypnosis scripts, and she is a mixed-media artist, creating commissioned drawings using pencil, Sharpies, colored pencils, Copic/Ohuhu/Tombow markers, and gel pen. She is happy to be a part of the MBA family, where she gets to help promote the success and prosperity of her fellow Missouri broadcasters.
