Job Summary/Description:
Here’s your chance to use your skills as a broadcaster, storyteller, and advocate to make great tv while helping people in our community. The title is “Lifestyle Producer”— and it just might be the best job you’ll ever have! You get to highlight the exceptional people and projects happening in our extraordinary city as you lead a daily talk show. Plus, you get to work with some of the best people in the business.

Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
– As Lifestyle Show Producer you will be responsible for producing the KCTV5 daily, local lifestyle show.
– Successful candidate will be responsible for working with producers, talent and account executives to produce and book interesting and entertaining segments, uploading content to websites and FTP sites, and dealing with outside clients.
– Work with clients and guests to develop segment content.
– Gather, prepare and integrate visual elements for each segment (video, pictures, graphics, etc.)
– Build daily show rundowns, timing the show, and writing segments.
– Visualize the production of each segment and communicate it to production staff.
– Must work well independently to get the job done.
– Must be creative and work within deadlines.
– Online producing experience is key to this job.
– In-studio and on-location shoots will take place and the producer must be able to oversee segment tapings, graphic requests, approvals, edits and final segment airings.
– Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
– Web uploading and social media postings are also required.
– Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
– Flexibility to work any shift.

Qualifications/Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in journalism film, television, news or related field.
– At least two years producing lifestyle or entertainment content for a broadcast and digital audience.
– Proficient in ENPS, Adobe Creative Suite.
– The successful candidate will be a motivated, hands-on broadcast enthusiast who is able to develop and administer organizational workflows in a hectic and challenging environment.
– Television editing is a bonus as well as videographer capabilities.
– Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects with maximum efficiency.
