The MBA helped create the Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program, now used by all state broadcast associations across the nation, in cooperation with the FCC. We also work with engineers and technical personnel to obtain credentials that will allow access to broadcast equipment during a state of emergency as part of the First Informer Broadcasters Act. We support engineers with training, FCC updates and alerts.
EAS Test Schedule
All Required Monthly Tests occur the third Tuesday of the month unless there is a scheduling
conflict with one of the state’s major sports teams. Tests will take place at approximately 11:18 AM on odd months and at 11:18 PM on even months. All monthly tests are generated by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
