Derry Brownfield

Derry Brownfield was born January 24th, 1932 in Boonville, Missouri. He started farming at the age of 16, before receiving a Future Farmers of America State Farmer Degree in 1949. He then attended the University of Missouri, attaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Education, and a Master of Science in Animal Husbandry.
Derry spent a year artificially inseminating cows, and another year teaching inmates at a Jefferson City prison before moving on to teach vocational agriculture for 5 years at high schools in Pilot Grove and Jamestown.

Arlen Diamond

Arlen’s fascination with Radio began in the 1950s when he was in Junior High School. During those long, cold winter nights in Pierre, South Dakota, he would cover up in bed and listen to the magic of clear channel AM stations like WGN and WLS Chicago, WCCO Minneapolis, WWL New Orleans, and XERF Del Rio, TX. He became a broadcaster at 16 years old, serving as an announcer at Pierre’s KCCR-AM,

Oscar Hirsch

Oscar Hirsch is known as one of America’s first, true broadcast pioneers. He was born
February 23rd, 1896 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. At the age of 17, he joined the First Presbyterian Church of Cape Girardeau, where he eventually served as deacon and elder. He then made his move into the world of broadcasting, launching KFVS-AM (now KZIM-AM) on July 22nd, 1925 out of his living room.

Art Holliday

Art Holliday’s broadcasting career spans 45 years in news and sports, including more
than 40 years at KSDK. In December 2020 he was named interim news director, and in March 2021 he became the permanent news director.
Art came to 5 On Your Side in 1979 and worked as a sportscaster until 1989, when he began a 22-year stint co-anchoring Today in St. Louis with Jennifer Blome.

Mitch Holthus

Mitch Holthus, a native of Smith Center, Kansas is the voice of the Kansas City Chiefs and is
the longest tenured and most decorated play-by-play “voice” in franchise history. He was on the call of Super Bowl 54 when the Chiefs won their second Super Bowl Championship. He also was on the call of Super Bowl 55 in February, 2021.
Holthus is also the host of the Hy-Vee Chiefs Insider television show and the Chiefs Rewind Post Game Show featured on several digital platforms.
