Legislative and Regulatory Alerts:  The MBA has many resources available to keep our members aware of FCC rules and deadlines, as well as potential bills and legislation that impact our industry.

Mock Inspection Program: The Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) process begins by filling out a request form. An MBA engineer will work with stations to schedule the mock inspection and the FCC is notified at the beginning and end of the process.  The station will have five months to complete the inspection and a certificate of compliance will be mailed for each station to display.

MBA Annual Convention: MBA members gather each June for our annual meeting. The two day event includes training for managers, sales and news and ends with the MBA Awards Banquet.

MBA Awards: Recognizing the outstanding achievements of Missouri broadcasters is one of the most popular events of the MBA.

First Informer Broadcaster: Credentialing for engineers and technical personnel to access broadcast equipment during a state of emergency is available through the MBA, Missouri Department of Public Safety, and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA). For more information, email Terri Stutheit or call us at (573) 636-6692.

State Leadership Conference: Representatives from each MBA district travel to Washington D.C. annually to meet with Missouri’s Congressional delegation as part of NAB’s State Leadership Conference.

Radio Talent Institute: Immersive 10-day learning and networking experience for broadcast students.

Enforcement Monitor: This monthly report, provided by Pillsbury Law, details specific instances where stations across the nation have failed to comply with one or more of the FCC’s numerous requirements.  The report provides complete information about the requirement and any forfeitures.

Memorandum to Members: This is a monthly e-newsletter, provided by Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth, that gives details regarding operational, legal, regulatory and judicial actions of importance to broadcasters.

Free Annual Station Directory:  All MBA members receive a physical copy of our annual media directory free of charge. They are also provided login credentials to access a fully-digitized version at no additional cost.
